Pancake restaurant D'n Berepot in Nieuwkuijk was preparing to celebrate its approaching 30th anniversary with its guests. Owner Nico Hoanen, 39, took over the restaurant three years ago after deciding as a teenager that he wanted to run a pancake restaurant.

On Tuesday, the restaurant also hosted a live afternoon broadcast by Qmusic DJs Domien Verschuuren and Anton Influenza. The DJs were broadcasting their show from different locations across the country that week, with Nieuwkuijk as the Tuesday stop.
