A cyclist was seriously injured in an incident on the cycle path along the Bredaseweg in Oosterhout on Thursday afternoon. Emergency services, including a trauma helicopter, attended the scene.

The cyclist was taken by trauma helicopter to a hospital in Rotterdam. It remained unclear what had happened and whether anyone else was involved; police closed part of the road and cycle path for an investigation.
