A boy riding a bicycle was hit by a van on Friday evening on the parallel road of Jan van der Heijurstraat near Spreeuwenstraat in Hilversum. Emergency services were alerted shortly after 19:00.

He was taken to hospital. One report described his injuries as serious, while another said their extent was unknown. Police are investigating how the collision happened.
