A 19-year-old man, Matias K., appeared in court in Roermond over the alleged assault of two ambulance workers in Maastricht on 30 July. He is being examined by a psychiatrist and a psychologist.

He is accused of biting one paramedic on the arms and legs and grabbing the other by the hair before throwing her head to the ground. The case remains under investigation.
