A 54-year-old woman from Swifterbant appeared at a preliminary hearing in Lelystad on suspicion of sexually exploiting her underage daughter. A 41-year-old man from Barger-Compascuum is suspected of raping the girl. Prosecutors alleged that the woman posed as her daughter on a chat site, took nude photographs of her and arranged contact with the man. The woman denies guilt.

According to the prosecution, the exploitation began when the girl was 13 in 2017 and ended in 2021, when the alleged rape occurred. The court will hear the two cases separately on 21 April. Before then, handwriting on the photographs will be examined and probation services will speak with both suspects.
