Entrepreneur Wim Beelen and Rotterdam PRO council member Kevin van Eikeren appeared in court over Van Eikeren’s criticism of Beelen and his amusement park in Rotterdam. Van Eikeren had described Beelen as a smart speculator, among other remarks. Beelen sought a retraction, while Van Eikeren maintained his statements and described the case as intimidation. The judge’s attempt to have the two speak and reach a reconciliation failed.
