The construction of the bicycle bridge over the Aarkanaal has been delayed again because of technical problems. Earlier this year, the municipality raised concerns about the bridge’s structural safety and instructed the contractor to stop lifting work. Those concerns have since been resolved, but it remains unclear when the bridge will be completed.
