Concerns over safety of queer people in Amsterdam

Michel Peters, chairman of the queer police network Pink in Blue, said Amsterdam is no longer as tolerant as it once was. He said tolerance is lower in faith groups and that hatred, intimidation and violence are a reality for queer people.

Peters urged people to report incidents so that figures can be tracked. He said Pink in Blue’s ultimate aim is to no longer be needed, but that this has not yet been achieved.
