Residents of Schijf said a small group of migrant workers was causing nuisance at the De Witte Plas campsite. They said people felt afraid and often kept quiet, while resident Adrie raised the issue publicly. He said that walking the dog after 8 p.m. felt dangerous.

The complaints prompted calls for structural police supervision, including a wijkagent being present at the campsite, as well as decent housing for migrant workers.
