Colombia intercepts 7,600 kilos of cocaine bound for the Netherlands

Colombian police seized about 7,600 kilos of cocaine at the port of Cartagena, reportedly the country’s largest cocaine seizure in ten years. The drugs were found during an inspection, with icing visible on footage at the location where the cocaine had been concealed. The shipment was intended for the Netherlands, and the operation was carried out with the involvement of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella called the seizure a historic blow to drug terrorism and said it had removed about 75 million cocaine doses from the streets.
