A scooter rider was seriously injured in a collision with a van at the intersection of Danubeweg and Radarweg in Amsterdam Nieuw-West at about 5:15. Emergency services, including several ambulances, the fire brigade and a trauma helicopter, attended the scene.

The rider was resuscitated and taken to hospital with severe injuries. A bystander reported that police escorted the ambulance to the hospital.
