Many Paraguayans were reportedly unable to access their money after the sudden collapse of the popular digital Ueno Bank. The banking crisis has plunged Paraguay into what was described as an unprecedented political and economic storm and could threaten the dominance of the right-wing Colorado Party, or ANR, which has ruled the country almost continuously since 1947.
