Coen Teulings criticizes Dutch housing policy

Former Central Planning Bureau director Coen Teulings criticized Dutch housing policy, saying that market forces were being blamed unfairly and that the government was being expected to do too much. He also argued that the VVD should be a stronger champion of market forces but was not, which he described as a concern.

In a podcast interview about his farewell address as a professor, Teulings discussed housing, nuclear energy, free trade and inequality. He also said that the functioning of the economy had appeared to be disregarded during the coronavirus crisis.
