CNV Youth wants the next collective labour agreement for the catering sector to require employers to arrange and pay for safe transport home for staff who cannot travel by car or public transport after a night shift. The proposal includes taxis for workers who do not feel safe travelling home alone after closing time.

The union said the proposal follows renewed attention to the safety of women travelling on the streets at night.
