Chef Ron Blaauw will close Ron Gastrobar at Sophialaan in Amsterdam-Zuid in February, ending a run of almost 14 years. He said he wanted to introduce a different concept and cited rising costs and changes in the hospitality industry.

What will replace the restaurant has not yet been announced.
