Closure of Dongen business unit after seizure of vapes and snus

A business unit on Julianastraat in Dongen was closed for six months by order of Mayor Hans Slagboom after police found a large quantity of snus and THC vapes during an inspection on 7 September. THC vapes were treated as hard drugs, and the scale of the stock suggested trafficking, according to the report.

Two men, aged 30 and 44, were arrested and the goods were seized. The unit is part of a larger business complex used by several companies, which must also find alternative accommodation during the closure. It is the fourth property in Dongen to be closed in four months following a drug or drug-related seizure.
