Chinese restaurant De Nieuwe Lotus at Flevoplein in Zeewolde remains closed for another two weeks after three explosions occurred at the building in a short period. The incidents took place on 25 August, 9 September and 11 September; on 9 September, a paving stone was thrown at the building before another explosive went off.\n\nMayor Bram Harmsma said the threat surrounding the restaurant is still present. Camera surveillance in the area is being extended by four weeks, with the measures intended to protect residents, entrepreneurs and visitors.
