David Rush, 49, has reportedly confessed to defrauding the U.S. government of $194 million through invented CIA missions. After his arrest in May, FBI agents found nearly 300 gold bars worth about $40 million, 35 luxury watches and $2 million in cash at his home. He allegedly obtained the goods by claiming they were needed for secret operations and bought luxury properties in Florida for resale. Rush also reportedly used $1.8 million in taxpayer funds for private flights. He initially insisted that the goods were genuinely needed for his work, while his lawyer criticized the coverage and said the items had been neatly stored before the account was cut off.
