Church coalition calls for shelter for status holders
◆1 source
A broad coalition of churches called on congregations to accommodate status holders, especially families, for three months in spaces such as rectories, monasteries or side rooms. The initiative is intended to create room in full asylum-seeker centres. PKN secretary-general Kees van Ekris urged congregations to open their hearts and doors.
The churches said the temporary accommodation would give status holders a place to stay while easing pressure on asylum-seeker centres.
