Young people in China have reportedly started keeping bricks as pets, according to a trend emerging on social media. They wet the bricks occasionally and wait for moss to grow on them. Mingyi Hou, a professor of digital culture at Tilburg University, said the practice involved no social pressure because the brick only partly lived.
