Charles Luijnenburg, a 33-year-old resident of Alphen, has received the keys to his first home after a reported three-year period of frustration and uncertainty, including a delay of about a year and a half. The newly built apartment is still empty, but work can now begin.

Luijnenburg has little money left for the work because he had recently bought a necessary car. He compared the situation to having to pay for a fitted kitchen for the same reason: it is needed despite the cost.
