Former Scotland rugby international Tim Visser, 39, was charged with 26 offences and is due to stand trial in Edinburgh in January 2028. The allegations concern one woman and cover the period from 2010 to 2024.

The charges include multiple alleged rapes, taking intimate images without consent and controlling behaviour. A report also described an abuse charge. Visser has pleaded not guilty, according to his lawyer.
