Changes to bus service in Zeewolde

Parts of the RRReis timetable in Zeewolde are due to change from 13 December. The modified route means buses will no longer serve Zeewolde Zuid, and several stops in the centre and Zeewolde Zuid will disappear. The municipality says the changes are intended to improve weekend and late-evening connections with Almere, Harderwijk and Nijkerk, including longer evening services between Almere, Zeewolde and Harderwijk.
Local political parties, including the VVD, said the changes would reduce accessibility. The municipal executive acknowledged that Zeewolde would no longer be fully served by bus, but said the adjustments were necessary within the available budget and that residents could reach nearby stops via the village’s cycle paths. It pointed to OV-flex transport for people who have difficulty travelling to the remaining stops.
