A chalet at Camping Heidelust on Heideweg in Molenschot was destroyed by fire during the night from Saturday to Sunday. Firefighters found it already ablaze on arrival. A neighbouring chalet caught fire as well, but firefighters extinguished it quickly and prevented it from being destroyed.

The fire was reported at about 4:50 a.m. Several loud bangs were heard during the blaze, possibly caused by exploding gas cylinders. Fire crews from Rijen, Gilze-Rijen and Tilburg responded. No injuries were reported, and the cause remains unknown.
