Entrepreneur Cees Meekers, 61, has bought three properties on the Brink in central Deventer. The municipality has refused permits for four hospitality businesses on the square. Despite the setback, Meekers says he continues to believe in the Brink and is preparing for a legal dispute with the municipality.
