Car sharing in Bolsward has continued for 19 years. What began as a local initiative by an environmental working group has become a small community of residents who share cars for financial and environmental reasons.

Ingrid Deen said she was happy with the arrangement and could take a five-week holiday in Indonesia partly because she no longer spent hundreds of euros a month on a car.
