A motorist drove into the front of a butcher shop in central Mierlo on Wednesday afternoon, severely damaging the façade. Nobody was injured; the driver was left shaken.

The shop was evacuated while the fire service assessed the situation, after which staff were allowed back in to close it. Police are investigating how the crash happened, and it was not yet clear how the car would be removed.
