A new campaign called “Man, say something!” was due to start that week, urging men to speak up when friends, colleagues or teammates make sexual or inappropriate remarks about women. New research reportedly found that almost six in ten men do not always do so because they fear damaging the atmosphere.

The research concluded that this fear was unjustified and formed the basis for the campaign.
