Campaign on suicide incidents involving trains
◆1 source
A campaign has been launched in collaboration with the 113 Suicide Prevention Foundation, in which conductors, train drivers and ProRail employees discuss their experiences with suicide incidents on the railway. The campaign addresses what happens to railway staff when someone dies on the tracks and the impact on those involved.
The subject was also covered in an episode of the podcast *The Day*. NS and ProRail are described as generally reluctant to communicate about such incidents. People with suicidal thoughts or concerns about someone else are directed to 113 for anonymous help by chat or telephone.
