Defence for Children, Terre des Hommes, Free a Girl and International Justice called for permanent legislation to strengthen the fight against online child abuse. They said the current arrangements are inadequate. The organisations said permanent European legislation has been under negotiation for four years, while large numbers of images depicting the abuse of children continue to appear online every day.
