Residents, political parties and several organisations in Moerdijk called on Prime Minister Rob Jetten to take charge of the planning for new energy projects in the area, including Powerport. They sought clarity and an integrated plan for the projects.

They also asked for assurances that the national government will not impose further developments in their area for at least two generations after the plan is completed.
