Burger King restaurants reported higher sales of Whoppers and other food items over the previous three months, according to quarterly figures from parent company Restaurant Brands International.

In the United States, the chain is continuing a multiyear plan to accelerate sales growth through investment in advertising, restaurant renovations and kitchen equipment.
