Britain gave approval for gas extraction from the controversial Jackdaw gas field. Prime Minister Andy Burnham said in a video message that importing oil and gas while domestic energy resources could be used responsibly did not make sense. Remco de Boer argued that the Netherlands should follow Britain’s example and seek to produce more of its own gas.
