Students in the eighth grade at De Sluis primary school in Lelystad had breakfast with Mayor Mieke Baltus at City Hall. The Burgemeestersontbijt was part of the national Week van Ons Eten. Lelystad hosted the kickoff, with all six municipalities in Flevoland taking part. The breakfast included brown bread with cheese, fruit, yoghurt and a boiled egg. The event highlighted the importance of eating a healthy breakfast, as many children reportedly leave home without eating in the morning for various reasons.
