Hackers gained access to personal data held in Denmark’s Central Person Register (CPR), the Ministry of Research, Education and Digitalization announced. The data concerns about 8.8 million people and includes names, addresses and CPR numbers, Denmark’s equivalent of a citizen service number. The records also include data on people who have emigrated or died.
