Booking Holdings, the US parent company of Booking.com, reported lower revenue and profit in the latest quarter. It said travel demand weakened somewhat toward the end of the quarter.

The company attributed the weaker demand in part to unrest in European cities including Paris and to the continuing conflict in the Middle East.
