Bodycams are being used by Dutch railway conductors

Dutch Railways conductors were reported to be positive about using bodycams, after nearly 700 had worn them for six months. The cameras can be activated during incidents and also record the minutes immediately beforehand. Main conductor Roy said that aggressive travellers often calm down when they see the camera, and that it makes him feel safer in potentially difficult situations. Travellers interviewed at Almere Central station also reacted positively, although one regretted that the cameras were considered necessary.
