A body was found in a canal near Glorieuxpark on Geldropseweg in Eindhoven, and firefighters recovered it from the water. Police are investigating the circumstances of the death.

The reports disagree on whether the discovery was made on Saturday or Sunday. One report said a passer-by had noticed something in the water on Friday but believed it was rubbish. It remains unclear how long the body had been in the water and whether the death resulted from natural causes, an accident or a crime. A nearby care facility said none of its residents was missing.
