NAC honoured its 80-year-old kit man Ben van Bilzen, who has worked for the club for 55 years, at the Rat Verlegh Stadium. Colleagues presented him with 900 birthday cards in a laundry basket and unveiled a dressing-room street sign reading “Ben van Bilzen Boulevard” in tribute to him. Van Bilzen was visibly moved by the gestures.

He continues to wash kits for NAC’s youth players each day and said he wants to keep working as long as his health allows it.
