The Apeldoorn-based Auxiliary Foundation plans to stop operating in a few months, ending nearly 50 years of sending aid and equipment around the world. Its activities have included providing water pumps in Africa and hospital beds in Moldova, as well as aid to Cameroon, Congo and Ukraine.
The account also highlighted Jannie, 77, who washed 10,000 baby bottles in her own bath. The foundation described the decision to stop as emotionally difficult.
