A man entered a pet shop in Utrecht and tried to take Buddy, the shop dog, with him. Store owner Evert Lancee, 66, stopped the man and sent him away. Lancee said he was afraid for his life.

Buddy is described as a familiar sight in Utrecht’s Rivierenwijk. The man’s attempt was captured by camera images.
