Atlanta Dream forces a decisive WNBA Finals game

Atlanta Dream defeated Golden State Valkyries 80–69 in Game 6 of the WNBA Finals at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, leveling the best-of-seven series at 3–3. A decisive seventh game is scheduled for Saturday in Golden State.

The game began unusually early on a weekday because the Atlanta Hawks were due to play at State Farm Arena later that evening, while concerts had also limited scheduling options. All 17,000 tickets were sold. Atlanta took control immediately, leading 32–15 after the first quarter, and Golden State was unable to threaten the victory despite reducing the deficit somewhat in the final quarter.
