Asylum reception has led to fear, anger and uncontrolled demonstrations in one Gelderland municipality, while Wageningen has provided reception for many years with apparently few major problems. Residents there have shown little resistance or caused nuisance, and the municipality accommodates a higher proportion of asylum seekers than any other municipality in Gelderland relative to its required share.
