Assen is further expanding its planned renovation of the city centre and Harbour Quarter. The City Quarter is now expected to include about 1,700 homes, up from approximately 1,350, while the estimated municipal investment has risen from €122 million to about €143 million.

The plans concern the City Quarter in Assen and its redevelopment as part of the wider city-centre and Harbour Quarter project.
