Police arrested a 31-year-old man from Almere after he reported to them in connection with the aggravated assault of a woman at a party on Rhôneweg in Amsterdam the previous weekend. The woman suffered serious head injuries.

The assault followed an argument between two women shortly before 6 a.m. The suspect allegedly intervened and struck one of them on the head with an object. Police used batons to hold back aggressive partygoers during the ensuing disturbance, while the suspect initially escaped. Police are still seeking witnesses and footage of the incident.
