Three teenagers aged 14, 15 and 17 from Rotterdam were arrested over the serious assault of a 14-year-old boy in Barendrecht in September. Reports differ on whether the arrests took place on Tuesday or Wednesday.

The assault occurred at Swarttouwhaven. The boy was taken to hospital and spent several days in intensive care; one report said he may have sustained permanent injuries. Police are seeking two further suspects.
