Arrests of olive harvest volunteers near Nahalin

Israeli army and police forces arrested about 80 volunteers who were helping Palestinian farmers harvest olives in Nahalin, near Bethlehem, in the West Bank. An earlier account put the number at about 90. Rabbis for Human Rights said the volunteers had been assisting with the harvest; the group included American, British and Israeli nationals, according to one report. Jewish-American politician Brad Lander was among those detained and said he was later released with a warning, while other volunteers remained in custody.
