Six young people were arrested on Nieuwe Nieuwstraat in central Amsterdam at about 9pm. Police said the group had been exercising together, disrupting public order and causing nuisance.

The youths were each given a 24-hour area ban. A police spokesperson said they were arrested by a team that regularly patrols the area to monitor such groups and prevent nuisance and drug dealing.
