A heavily armed gang robbed a jewelry shop in Besançon, France, on Tuesday morning, reportedly taking an estimated 20 to 50 kilograms of gold. Shots were fired during the robbery, and an employee was assaulted.

The five offenders reportedly escaped by scattering nails on the road, allowing them to evade police pursuit.
