Apollonia Bolscher, 36, a teacher of juvenile law at Leiden University and an interior stylist, lives in a 1930s house in Gouda with her husband, Reint, 37, who is a civil servant, and their three daughters, aged seven, five and three. She values her safe home, while continuing to dream of a cabin by the sea.
